Synaptics Incorporated is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its San Diego, California office. Job Duties: Lead the design, development, and optimization of Bluetooth Controller software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications. Implement and maintain Bluetooth controller or host firmware. Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Telecommuting is permitted. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; and three (3) years of experience in each of the following: • Bluetooth Classic/Low Energy, WLAN/PAN networks Co-Ex specifications decoding to design document.
• ARM7, ARM9, Cortex-M3, Cortex-M4, Cortex-M23, Cortex-M33, and/or Cortex-M55 system-on-chip (SoC) internals, including peripherals, memory architecture, and inter-processor communication (IPC).
• Data/Voice communication techniques and interfaces such as UART, SDIO, I2S, and/or PCM.
• Public key infrastructure (PKI) security, root of trust (RoT), and secure firmware boot processes.
• Application lifecycle management tools supporting market and product requirements documents and Agile software development life cycle methodologies. Salary: $183,000 to $246,000 per year Job Order number must be indicated on your response. Please send resume to:
