We are seeking a Starbucks Barista for the San Diego Convention Center.

The San Diego Convention Center is located on sparkling San Diego Bay in the heart of a vibrant downtown. Abundant, flexible space and five-star service make the San Diego Convention Center the meeting planner's choice for hosting major conventions, trade shows, meetings and special events. The San Diego Convention Center has 2.6 million sq. ft. to include 72 meeting/banquet rooms, eight exhibit halls, two ballrooms and a special events area - the Sails Pavilion, 1B8-seat capacity onsite restaurant and 36-seat bar, 8 concession stands in exhibit halls, 2 full-service kitchens, portable specialty services and 3 Starbucks lobby operations. Some of the many types of events offered at the San Diego Convention Center include the annual Comic Con and ESRI shows, full service plated dinners and buffet & reception events.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Maximize customer satisfaction by preparing and serving coffee drinks, beverages and snack items in accordance with Sodexo Live! and Starbucks standards and guest expectations.

⦁ Actively participate in preparation, set-up, service, break-down and cleanup of store.

⦁ Uphold Sodexo Live!'s standards for guest service, safety, sanitation, and product quality.

Job Requirements:

⦁ Coffee experience preferred

⦁ Cashiering experience

⦁ Ability to work in fast paced environment

⦁ Must have flexible work schedule to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Other requirements:

⦁ Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat.

⦁ Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility.
