Instructional Assistant
Dependable Staffing has been successfully placing educational and healthcare professionals in Phoenix and the surrounding area since 1996. We have built strong partnerships with our clients and employees throughout Arizona to ensure long term employment opportunities for our valued staff members.
We currently are searching for qualified educational assistants for placements in elementary school classroom settings. These current opportunities are for Instructional Assistants, Teacher Assistants, Classroom Aides and 1:1 Aides.
Job Duties Include:
Assist teacher with daily lesson plan
Help students understand classroom and homework assignments & projects
Coordinate child development activities
Assist teacher with instructing students
Monitor and reinforce appropriate behavior
Supervise students during recess and meal break times
Work with parents and educational staff to promote the well-being of students
Utilize behavior and de-escalation training techniques as needed
Follow direction of teacher including IEP requirements and behavioral techniques
May be required to assist with on campus bus duty
Assist teacher with keeping classroom area neat
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements Include:
Current CPR & First Aid
Current Fingerprint Clearance card
Complete CPI training (Dependable Staffing)
1 year recent experience working with children in educational or behavioral health setting
Must be able to work assigned schedule, Monday- Friday, 35 hours/ week
Must be dependable, compassionate, patient
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
