JOB SUMMARY
This position supports attorneys, investigators and paralegals by providing technical expertise and analyses of case information with the goal of producing graphic representations and exhibits that will reinforce assigned cases. Example of Duties

Work in this classification requires an individual to be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Create demonstrative exhibits for courtroom presentation that cover a wide range of subject matter including but not limited to crime scene drawings, crime scene models, medical illustrations, DNA charts, photo enlargements, etc.
  • Edit, redact, and analyze video and audio media for courtroom presentations.
  • Create and edit visual courtroom presentations
  • Maintain and operate a variety of computer systems, specialized graphics software and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain efficient organization of electronic data files.
  • Maintain chain of custody of evidence while processing duties.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records and restricted County information.
Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

  • Associates Degree in Multi-Media Arts, Graphic Arts, Integrative Media Studies, or another closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of similar work experience which includes creating or manipulating multimedia materials utilizing a computer.
  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a current valid Arizona Driver License.
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Multi-Media Arts, Graphic Arts, Integrative Media Studies, or another closely related field.
  • Proficiency with Windows/Macintosh OS, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Wacom stylus optional.
  • Proficiency with 3ds Max, Maxon Cinema 4D, or similar 3D modeling and animation software.
Supplemental Information

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform via written, and visual media
  • Ability to analyze evidence and crime scene information in order to present it in a visual format that can be understood by a jury.
  • Ability to create creative and artistic demonstrative exhibits.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Skill in drafting and rendering.
  • Skill with equipment and techniques used in creating audio, video or printed media productions
  • Knowledge of methods and practices of editing video and audio
  • Knowledge of courtroom settings for proper placement of equipment.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas, verbally and in writing, so others will understand.
  • Ability to interact with technical staff and non-technical user personnel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires Independent body mobility to stand, walk, bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time and/or drive a vehicle. Manual dexterity to reach, and grasp; manual dexterity to hand write or use computer keyboard; vision sufficient to see/read; hear and speak to communicate with customers in person and over the phone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office environment.
