Job Description

Bullhorn, Inc. seeks a full time Technical Director, Software Engineering at our offices located at 100 Summer Street, 17th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.  Position can be located anywhere in the United States. 

Technical Director, Software Engineering to drive development, best practices, and lead the execution of a product directive. Duties include:

  • Leading the execution and collaborating on the strategy of the roadmap for your product line.  
  • Coaching and mentoring early leaders in growing influence within and outside of their team.
  • Performing software delivery on cloud platforms (like AWS) with an understanding of economic and business models for software in the cloud.
  • Designing SaaS systems for fault tolerance and high availability, including the systems that monitor and alert for issues
  • Working closely with other development leadership to define and implement best practices. 
  • Collaborating with product leadership on the prioritization and execution of the roadmap.  
  • Leading team activities including daily standups, retrospectives, grooming , and sprint planning meetings.
  • Participating and leading regular team collaboration meetings at the product directive and product line level.
  • Helping other leaders in Bullhorn drive cross-team objectives and technical initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Bullhorn leadership teams in strategic decisions on technical stacks, team priorities, and team structure.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices across various teams and disciplines within Bullhorn.

Position Requirements:  Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical engineering field, or closely related discipline, plus five years of experience in any software development role.   Experience, which may be gained concurrently, to include each of the following:

1.   Five years of experience building and supporting mission critical n-tier, distributed, and fault-tolerant SaaS applications: 

2.  Five years of experience utilizing .NET technologies, including C# and MVC;                         

3.  Five years of Web Service experience utilizing WCF or Web API;

4.  Five years of experience with SQL Server 2008+, including general queries and database design concepts;

5,  Five years of experience utilizing HTML 4/5 and CSS; 

6.  Five years of experience in release management;

7.  Five years of experience using JavaScript frameworks; and 

8.  One year of experience leading a team in an Agile/scrum environment.

Salary range: $210,537 - $224,548
