Job Description
As a Technical Writer you will be part of the Product Management Team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality user guides, online help, client communications and other writing projects as needed that contribute to the overall success of our healthcare data analytics product suite. You will also be responsible for helping promote content to our Production environments. Excellent writing skills are a must!
-Organize, create and write developer and end-user documentation and training materials
-Utilize key presentation principles, including the use of visuals to organize and deliver content
-Tailor a technical presentation or document to a specific audience
-Interview to effectively obtain technical information
-Working with the training and support team, software developers, quality engineers, product managers and SMEs to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, documentation requirements and healthcare data analytics
-Analyzing existing and potential content with focus on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities to increase efficiency
-Creating/assisting in transition to and maintaining content development and storage architecture
-Producing wide range of documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
-Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
-Creating tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
-Editing your work and that of others
-Translating complex technical and analytical concepts into clear, concise, plain English text and visual content
-Working with Word, PowerPoint and Excel in the Microsoft Office Suite, Image and Video Screen capture software, such as SnagIt and Adobe Acrobat Writer/Reader
-Organizing multiple, simultaneous projects and requests
-Participate and attend all meetings and ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Demos) related to the Agile development process
Required Qualifications
-2+ years of professional client facing experience within in analysis and data management
-Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, working knowledge of MS Office products, Internet Explorer
-Extensive experience with databases, as well as data interpretation and data manipulation ?
-Knowledge of managed care products including HMO, PPO, and Medicare Part D ?
-Healthcare industry background
Preferred Qualifications
-Coding in XML at a basic level (nice to have - not required)
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
