The Town of Marana is seeking a full-time Technology Manager or Technology Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing technical leadership and direction for the Town's Information Technology Infrastructure team. The Infrastructure team manages the Towns information technology (IT) infrastructure, information security, and related systems, e.g., telecommunications network, data storage systems, servers, and security information event monitoring. Technology Manager
Expected Hiring Range: $90,070 - $112,588
Salary Range: $90,070 - $135,106
Technology Supervisor
Expected Hiring Range: $79,709 - $99,635
Salary Range: $79,709- $119,562
- Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity, and/or budget.
Technology Manager
- Provides leadership and development to assigned staff; establishes team goals and objectives of the functional area(s)
- Participates in the recruitment process, ensures adequate staffing levels, evaluates work performance, ensures policy and procedure compliance, and provides guidance in employee relations matters
- Responsible for project and program management, to include project intake, prioritization, buy/build decisions, resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, etc.
- Provide project updates ensuring on time/on budget delivery of enterprise projects/initiatives
- Ensure regular communication to IT Director/Deputy Director concerning projects, risks, concerns, problems, and needs
- Serves as an interface between functional users and technical resources.
- Manage staff to update and track tasks and high priority projects within relevant project software
- Serves as lead for activities related to infrastructure planning, design, procurement, installation, maintenance and security, including network, server, storage, wireless and data center solutions
- Manages infrastructure operations. Provides a strong leadership role in developing and maintaining the Town's information systems
- Works with outside agencies to troubleshoot and maintain data relationships with other governmental agencies
- VOIP and Cisco Call Manager support, design, implementation and administration
- Advanced administration of Office 365/Exchange including PowerShell scripting, transport rules and Data Loss Prevention
Technology Supervisor
- Provides leadership and development to assigned staff; establishes team goals and objectives of the functional area(s);
- Participates in the recruitment process, ensures adequate staffing levels, evaluates work performance, ensures policy and procedure compliance, and provides guidance in employee relations matters
- Responsible for project and program management, to include project intake, prioritization, buy/build decisions, resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, etc.
- Serves as lead for activities related to infrastructure planning, design, procurement, installation, maintenance and security, including network, server, storage, wireless and data center solutions
- Serves as an interface between functional users and technical resources.
- Makes recommendations for new IT infrastructure technologies.
- Makes recommendations for information security software use across the enterprise, as well as within the department.
- Oversees hardware support contracts by identifying hardware that requires support contracts; gathers quotes; negotiates contract terms; and requests fiscal funding.
- Manages infrastructure and researches new technologies by monitoring status of components; applies configuration changes; identifies equipment that requires maintenance; schedules maintenance or determines equipment end-of-life; requests funding for purchasing replacement equipment.
Technology Manager
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or closely related field.
- Over three years of experience in information technology, project management, IT infrastructure administration or closely related field.
- Over three years of supervisory experience
- Must pass a fingerprint clearance and pre-employment background check.
Technology Supervisor
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or closely related field.
- Over three years of experience in information technology, project management, IT infrastructure administration or closely related field.
- Over one year of supervisory experience or must complete the Town of Marana's supervisory academy within one year of hire date.
- Must pass a fingerprint clearance and pre-employment background check.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Technology Manager
- Over three years of experience with Strong understanding of cyber-security policies and procedures
- Over three years of supervisory experience overseeing IT infrastructure professionals, e.g. network administrators, system administrators.
- Over one year of experience administering cloud computing infrastructure services with either Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Advanced knowledge of VMware ESXi infrastructure and networking
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, LDAP
- Extensive experience with switching/routing, wireless, SD-WAN. Solid understanding of networking equipment such as Cisco is preferred
- Over one year of experience with information security frameworks, e.g. NIST, FedRAMP.
- Cisco Verified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate preferred
- Security Certifications preferred
- Over three years of experience with information security operations administration.
- Over three years of supervisory experience overseeing IT infrastructure professionals, e.g. network administrators, system administrators.
- Over one year of experience administering cloud computing infrastructure services with either Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Over one year of experience administering Windows server environments, e.g. Active Directory, Hyper-V, IIS.
- Advanced knowledge of VMware ESXi infrastructure and networking
- Over one year of experience with information security frameworks, e.g. NIST, FedRAMP.
- Extensive experience with switching/routing, wireless, SD-WAN. Solid understanding of networking equipment such as Cisco is preferred
