Job Description

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring a Therapist to join our In-home program. This position works Monday through Friday with flexibility needed.

Location: In-home program is located off of Glendale Ave. and I-17.

Salary: starting salary is $50,000 per year. We are now offering a sign-on bonus of $3500 upon hire.

About the position

The Therapist is an exciting position where no one day is the same! This staff member delivers solution-focused and strength-based services to members diagnosed with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. Therapists provides supportive services include: intakes, assessments, treatment planning, psychiatric support, and group interventions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements treatment plans, assessment criteria, and programmatic goals, objectives, and activities.
  • Provides thorough and accurate clinical assessment.
  • Provides intake and psychosocial assessments of families and/or their individual members.
  • Conducts home visits as needed and case consultations with other agencies and organizations.
  • Provides therapy and/or clinical case management for full caseload of families and/or individual members.
  • Engages in solution-focused, strength-based behavioral health/clinical services to consumers in accordance with company standards.
  • Effectively function as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to identify treatment goals, strengths, and needs relative to the goals.
  • Serves as a resource to clinic staff in any/all areas of specialization and attends case staffings.
  • Documents consumer services provided according to the approved clinical standards, rules, regulations, and site procedures.
  • Monitors caseload for authorizations/re-authorizations as appropriate.
  • Completes required documentation in accordance with SBH standards.
  • May be expected to drive a SBH vehicle to transport consumers, per the discretion of the clinic and/or program.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum requirement consist of 21-year age,
  • Masters degree in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work)
  • (1) year of full-time behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Must have fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.
  • Required to maintain a valid Arizona drivers license and pass motor vehicle screening for insurance purposes in order to transport clients, based upon needs/requirements of the clinic and/or program.
  • Must maintain current auto insurance coverage in accordance with SBH insurance standards.
