THERAPIST

Phoenix, AZ

POSITION SUMMARY

Assess the needs of identified clients to create treatment plan goals focused on helping clients be successful in living in home/community settings. Provide brief, solution-focused therapy. Utilize strength-based and empirically sound interventions to help clients reach treatment goals. Collaborates with appropriate agency staff and community partners regarding client care issues as needed. Completes clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, monthly reports, and discharge summaries (as required).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or a related field plus 2 to 5 years of clinical experience providing counseling.
  • Minimum of one year working with adolescents.
  • Must be licensed (LAC, LASAC, LMSW, LPC, LISAC, LCSW, LMFT).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable driving record, automobile insurance coverage and access to an automobile.
  • CPR and First-Aid certification


Position requirements:

Ability to work schedule required to fulfill duties of the position. At times, individuals must be able

to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing

tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

  • Cultural competency and sensitivity; knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients served; and ability to assess and work with the diverse populations of Arizona.

  • Must have high interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

  • Ability to represent agency effectively in a variety of settings with diverse communities.

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
  • Strong attention to detail and well-organized.
  • Must have flexible scheduling to work hours necessary to fulfill job requirements.
  • Can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments.
  • Must maintain a calm, non-defensive attitude during a crisis or potential crises.


Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19.
