Tower Technician II. MasTec Services Company Inc, South Portland, ME. Job Duties: Work at construction sites to: Climbing towers & ladders at various heights averaging 250 ft.; Erecting various tower types; Prep'n & cleaning of telecommunication sites; Installation of new carriers on new build & existing towers; Follow Safety procedures; Identify & select the proper rigging materials per weight & size of load; Perform guy wire change outs, tower modifications & plumb & tension; Read a compass, set azimuths & down tilts per specs; Provide tech'l guidance to jr hands while on tower under the direction of foreman. Must have HS dipl. or foreign equiv + 1yr exp in the job offered. At least 75% of travel time travel to Northeast & MidAtlantic regions of the USA to work on cell sites for cellular tower construction & installation & repair of cellular eqpmt. Travel is inherent to the nature of this position.
