Job Description

Now Hiring Full Time Training Coordinator $72K

The Training Coordinator will support Amazon Corporate Security's GSOC. This is a full-time salaried position that is located in Arlington, VA.


The Training Coordinator will primarily focus on delivering training to staff, manage the smooth and effective functioning of designated training programs, and ensure those programs meet all client directed requirements. This involves marketing, planning, execution of ongoing and tailored training programs, assistance in planning and facilitating specialized training programs for the GSOC Staff. This person will develop training material content and administer scheduled onboarding training sessions for new hire employees. They will also be responsible for the distribution of training content, implementation of a planned training schedule and any changes or updates to that schedule, as well as detailed editing and correction of produced content. Further, the Training Specialist oversees the day-to-day training operations of the Operational shift they are assigned. The Training Specialist reports to the Training Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Onboard, orient, and train new hires in a classroom environment
  • Schedule training sessions
  • Work with Operations, Subject Matter Experts, and other key stakeholders to identify target audience training needs
  • Work with a Senior Training Coordinator to build and edit training content
  • Create training materials such as case studies, Master Scenario Events List (MSELs), PowerPoint presentations, eLearning modules (Rise 360/KNet), manuals, roll call and handouts
  • Review training materials for accuracy and standards compliance
  • Maintain training documents and records
  • Maintain a core level of daily duty functional practice to provide training insights to management and assist in the construction and implementation of new training projects
  • Perform other related duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Familiar with physical security operations and/or 24/7 operations centers
  • Familiar with security access control software such as Lenel OnGuard
  • Have a training background (required); experience in training design and delivery
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive without waiting for direction
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex information and to effectively motivate small and large groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a Bachelors in Business, Criminal Justice, Education, Learning and Development or Adult Learning OR equivalent experience
  • Be flexible and deal with change in a rapid, evolving climate
  • Obsessed about the customer experience; never settle for good enough, and continually inspire others to do better for the customer
  • Have excellent public speaking and verbal communication skills in a corporate environment
  • Willingness to work in different areas as required by training needs
  • Candidates must be very organized and able to handle multiple and changing projects/priorities
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and E- learning tools
  • Experience delivering Virtual Training or working with remote teams
  • Experience in a training role, or a mix of training and coaching/mentoring experience
  • Excellent attendance
