DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for oversight and management of the education transportation
programs; must also ensure vehicle maintenance and safety and ensure staff is in compliance with licensing
standards.W0 Ensure program vehicles are safe and in good running order by arranging preventive maintenance checks and
other repairs as needed with approved vendors; ensure general vehicle cleanliness.

- Track staff license expiration dates and ensure staff have current licenses.

- Create and maintain accurate vehicle logs and inventory; submit monthly, quarterly, and annual vehicle and
narrative reports to the director.
0 Working with program directors, be responsible for vehicle maintenance budget and for maintaining accurate
accounting of vehicle repair expenditures.
0 Operate mobile vehicle radios in a professional manner in strict compliance with FCC regulations.
0 Hold monthly bus driver meetings as required.
0 Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:High moral standards and stable character.Ability to operate Government and Tribal vehicles in compliance with all Rules of Safety and Security.
Ability to maintain strict con?dentiality of resident information.Ability to maintain a high level of safety and security while on transport.Ability to work effectively with early childhood population.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.Good skills in basic math procedures as needed for calculating mileage and maintaining balanced budget.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community
Of?cials and the general public.
0 Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED and three (3) years experience working as bus driver, or any combination of
education, training, or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of this position.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
0 Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with both passenger and school bus endorsements from the MotorVehicle Division of the AZ DOT (Must obtain within 90 days and maintain throughout course of employment)Hold current School Bus Driver State Certi?cationRequired to obtain a Tribal Operators permit.Current Food Handler Certi?cation (i.e. GRIC, ServSafe, etc.) or obtain within 60 days of employment.Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certi?cation or obtain certi?cation within 60 days of employment.Must pass an Initial Health Examination and a TB skin test; provide proof/results, including updatedimmunization records prior to hire date.
0 Copy of current Fingerprint Clearance Card must be provided when applying for this position and must be
maintained throughout employment.
0 Required to pass a background check and ?ngerprint clearance as a condition of employment and must
continue to maintain throughout duration of employment.
