Position Summary
The Vice President of Accounting, Accounts Receivable, provides organized and detail oriented professional services for full cycle accounting support within the accounting and finance divisions. Assist in the supervision, management and coordination of accounting personnel in their charge. Direct and coordinate company finance department. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for all financial transactions and reporting for their assigned company(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directly oversees all accounts receivable activity, including cash posting, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Gathers information from clients and partners as needed.
  • Crafts targeted strategies designed to meet specific client needs.
  • Makes recommendations based on internal and external factors.
  • Designs and implements action plans.
  • Keeps in contact with the client at all stages.
  • Direct and coordinate the preparation of monthly financial reporting package
  • Consolidate the accounting for parent company and individual divisions
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions with a focus on assimilating the accounting operations into the parent's accounting systems.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
  • Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements

Education & Experience
  • 4 year college education; MBA plus
  • 15 years experience with bachelors degree
  • Minimum ten years managing a team of at least 7 individuals
