Definition
Definition: Under the direct supervision of the Fixed Asset/Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Stock Clerk is responsible for stocking, receiving, and delivering packages while ensuring safe, efficient, and organized warehouse and mailroom operations. This position adheres to inventory control processes and recommends improvements related to cost savings and safety procedures. Additionally, the Warehouse Stock Clerk will cross-train to perform mailroom functions. This position is classified as FLSA non-exempt.

Examples of Tasks
1. Receiving and Inspection
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists, and inspect items for quality, quantity, and damages.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages to the purchasing department.
2. Delivery
- Prepare goods for delivery and coordinate with departments as needed.
- Deliver goods to designated departments.
- Obtain digital signatures from department personnel to confirm receipt of goods.
3. Shipping and Documentation
- Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, and necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
4. Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or incidents to appropriate personnel.
5. Data Entry and Documentation
- Accurately enter data into inventory management systems and generate reports as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of receipts, shipments, and inventory transactions.
6. Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively to address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet department goals.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, including workflow optimization and technology implementation.
8. Other Duties
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, hydraulic lifts, handcarts, and power tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness in and around the warehouse facility.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles.
- Observe and recommend improvements to safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional warehouse and purchasing-related duties as assigned by the Fixed Asset/Warehouse Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, Assistant Finance Director, or Finance Director.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of the history, culture, laws, customs and traditions of the SRPMIC.
- Knowledge of issuing manuals and automated systems.
- Knowledge of appropriate safety requirements and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of warehouse recordkeeping, inventory management and SRPMIC documentation practices, including use of Purchasing Division specialized computer system.
- Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors, co-workers and SRPMIC staff at all levels.
- Skill with verbal and written communication, numbers, record keeping, and use of routine purchasing and warehousing trade tools.
- Skill using personal computer and related software.
- Skill operating warehouse equipment such as forklift and lift truck in safe and efficient manner.
- Skill with eye/hand coordination sufficient to operate equipment safely and to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Skills and practices to ensure self-wellness.
- Ability to perform a variety of warehouse and purchasing related clerical work.
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and to use all equipment appropriately.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds when loading, unloading and stocking supplies.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time performing activities that require stooping, reaching, lifting, pulling, crawling, and carrying items of 25 pounds or more.
- Ability to climb ladders to stock shelves, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory control systems and warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that would allow the candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position, will be considered.
Underfill Eligibility
- An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.

- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License.
