General Description of Duties: Essential functions include working closely with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications to develop agency communications and marketing materials for online audiences, for the agency and its mission as well as Adelantes social enterprise businesses. This position will generate awareness and support of Adelante, enhancing the agencys image through traditional and emerging media avenues. Develops and implements online communications and social media strategies for the agencys multiple websites, Facebook, YouTube and other social networking avenues. Assist with website maintenance, online and print graphic design, photography and photo editing, and shooting and editing video projects. Maintain internal and external communication of agency programs and news, implements marketing plans for enterprise businesses, plans and run events. Works cooperatively with other marketing team members and various departments to write the text and design layouts for publications (electronic and print), developing and maintaining mailing lists, developing and implementing public relations efforts, assisting with thrift store merchandising, and handling online sales for thrift store collectibles, electronics, and other items.

Education and Experience: Two (2) or more years of marketing and/or public relations experience is required. Experience with creating and editing websites, social media marketing, shooting and editing video, graphic design, photo editing and video editing software is required. Four (4) year degree in marketing, public relations or a related field is strongly preferred. Preferred experience using Microsoft Office, Corel Draw, and Adobe Photoshop. Strong English/grammar skills are required including the ability to proofread materials for multiple formats and uses. Good manual dexterity is required for multiple tasks including, but not limited to, cutting foam core and mounting materials for displays, and cutting and laminating marketing materials and signs. Must possess high quality standards and attention to detail. Must have excellent communication (written & verbal), customer service, and inter-personal skills. Must have the ability to maintain harmonious, courteous, and considerate relationships, while fostering a collaborative teamwork environment in both agency and the public. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint investigation, pre-employment drug screening and TB test. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM drivers license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. An employee in this position frequently sits at a desk or workstation but may be required to travel to other Adelante program sites, and to local organizations or businesses. Must be able to sit, bend/stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, lift 20 lbs., carry, reach above shoulder(s), and perform keyboarding/typing tasks frequently. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
