Wireless Internet Network Engineer

Summary Simply Bits is seeking an Infrastructure Wireless Internet Network Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The qualified applicant will be responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of network infrastructure for our rapidly expanding ISP network. Responsibilities include Familiar with deploying and managing RF networks, in both licensed and unlicensed spectrum, from WiFi to mmWave Ability to analyze and review customerrsquos data networks to identify issues and recommend design and security upgrades Proactively tests and evaluates customer systems to ensure ongoing requirements and performance metrics are met Member of the escalation team for all data networks and systems Effective at team communications and scheduling Maintains accurate and up to date work activity records, task lists, tickets, calendar entries, meeting notes, and contact information Other duties as directed by manager. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements Prefer Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area Equivalent work experience will be considered Background in RF network design, both internal and external networks Experience performing customer support of LANs and WANs Experience with Mikrotik, Juniper, Cisco or similar routersswitches and configurations including complex routing configurations and security methods Familiarity with microwave equipment (Cambium, Mimosa, Siklu, etc.) Familiarity with telecommunications and network site grounding systems. Familiarity with microwave radio tower construction and maintenance. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Working knowledge of Linux, MS Office, Visio, telnet and SSH clients. Knowledge of advanced Ethernet and TCPIP networking. Good interpersonal communication skills. Clean driving record and valid Arizona driverrsquos license. Ability to work safely at heights (no climbing required).
