Job Description

Youth Center Program Manager – Full-Time (Monday–Friday)


The Achievement Center will partner with Probation and community stakeholders to support at-risk youth through skill development, vocational training, career exploration, educational achievement, community linkage, and the development of positive interpersonal skills.


This new program will serve South Bay youth and collaborate closely with local high schools, community organizations, and businesses to actively engage, motivate, and inspire participants. The Program Manager will lead the development, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the Achievement Center, ensuring high-quality services and positive outcomes for youth. Hours will be M-F, 12-9pm.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee all program operations and services.
  • Monitor program quality and ensure services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements and agency standards.
  • Coordinate and manage program vendors, subcontractors, and community partners.
  • Supervise, coach, and support program staff while promoting a positive and accountable team culture.
  • Manage program budgets and ensure responsible stewardship of financial resources.
  • Conduct outreach and develop referral partnerships to maintain program census and meet or exceed contract expectations.
  • Monitor referral trends, service utilization, and program outcomes, utilizing data to guide decision-making and program improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all county, contract, and agency requirements.
  • Collaborate with schools, probation staff, businesses, and community organizations to expand opportunities and resources for youth.
  • Seek consultation and support from the Senior Manager when appropriate to ensure program success.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with at-risk youth, including supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience developing and managing community-based programs preferred.
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

  • Knowledge of youth development, trauma-informed care, positive youth development practices, and behavioral health principles.

  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and program performance measures.
  • Ability to analyze data and utilize outcomes to drive program improvements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to serving diverse youth and families with cultural humility and respect.
