The Building Bridges to Hope: Human Trafficking Initiative from CPLC Parenting AZ is a trauma-informed and survivor-centered program that offers comprehensive case management services to adult survivors of trafficking in Maricopa County and parts of Pinal County.
POSITION SUMMARY
A Youth Outreach Specialist works with youth affected by homelessness by assisting them with immediate case management services by connecting and navigating resources and services to help them return to permanent housing and provide stability for youth. A youth outreach specialist coordinates with the outreach team conducting street outreach in the community where homeless youth congregate, providing information on the program, case management services, resources, and care packs.
The Youth Outreach Specialist reports to the Program Coordinator. This position will require 75% foot-to-ground direct outreach. This position is a salaried position up to $42,000 annually.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
• High School Diploma or GED required and 2+ years of related experience; or
Associates Degree in appropriate field of study and 1 year of related experience; or
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study and 1 year of related experience;
• Must be able to work with individuals who have experienced trauma
• Experience providing direct services to individuals who have experienced trauma
• Experience providing case management services in a crisis environment
• Related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work in an active environment
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have current Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to have within 60 days of employment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must pass a background screening prior to start
Other requirements:
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish language is required.
• Valid AZ driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to show proof of registration/insurance. Must be 21 years of age to drive on behalf of CPLC, Inc.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements
• Must pass background screening prior to start
• Level One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance or ability to have within 60 days of employment; must maintain clearance.
Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC. However, any person approved for an exemption, without exception, is subject to masking.
